The whole thing kicked off when Fabien Radix (mean ass speedflyer and good friend of mine ) contacted me to play some records at a party on a speeflying event that KRAKOUCASS where helping to organize ... After last summer's wild days in the mountain cabin up in Planfait (Annecy) I kinda knew what style the whole thing would be and couldn't really resist the offer.

Packed my ski's and speedflyer , my big wing too , some fat dubstep tunes and some drum and bass to go along and called Dale (who didn't hesitate a second when he heard it was krakoucass that where on top of things ) and off we went ...

at the time of our trip (end of april) the weather was quite instable on all sides or europe and some rain was anounced in the area where the speedflying was going to go down ... so we decided to stop over in annecy where some friends where staying for a S.I.V. course and that would give me the chance to fix my lines that I broke in the week before when I landed in a tree (hey ... it's the beginning of the season ... everyone gets a bit over eager then in belgium ... me too).

the day flying in annecy was welcome after the winter in belgium ... some thermals can make a man very happy after all ... however in the evening we headed for the two hour drive to bonneval-sur-arc wich lies at the end of the maurrienne valley in the alps and when I write the end of the valley it is really the end of the valley and end of the road ... 

So we reach the end of a road deep in the mountain on an altitude of 1800 meter ASL and this roads ends in a parking lot for skiers but was serving for a much better at the moment we arrived ... The Krakoucass barbeque was about to happen and we where just in time to eat ...

So nice to see the faces of friends that spent all winter pushing the envelope of speeflying to serious levels and fly on a daily basis in rough savage mountain areas with who we had so good flights with in Annecy and so wild party nights ... Fab, Remie, Ben, Annesof, Cesku, Claude Francois etc ...

The whole evening was a cosy warm eat fest with lots of beer and good laughs and conversations and went well on to deep at night ...
